The movie opened to a very impressive $10.5 million on Friday night and should take home $25+ million for the weekend.Quite successful. You think because of an interesting plot or professional actors? Umm,not reall.
And oh,most pf the reviews say this movie is terrible.
SO what is the explanation? Well,let's look at one of her major fansites to find the truth and look what the webhost has to say..

They are right,reviews ARE terrible.

'Unfortunately, the movie seems constructed just to get the singer/actress into a knockdown catfight, shoehorning one of show business' sexiest entertainers into a scorned-woman role. Even then, the payoff feels cheap. The result is more like "Delayed Frustration" than "Fatal Attraction."

ReplyDeletecadillac records wasnt really promoted, i never saw commercials for it, and didnt see ads for it. this was heavily promoted, and interviews were asking about it left and right. so that's why it's better than cadillac records. and that was a singing movie, this movie has a fight scene, nothing beats that.

Like you said Beyonce had to go in overdrive to promote this film, going to every TV show she can and plastering her face on every site she can like You Tube because everyone knows she can't act. She even paid blogs such as YBF and Media Take Out to promote the movie. It's the same over exposure method she uses for her albums. The ticket sales will decline next week when Wolverine and the Star Trek movie comes out. And people do listen to reviews, that's why movie critics are paid big money and why magazines such as Entertainment Weekly are popular publications. Also why do you think this movie was closed for screening for critics to review? Because they knew word would get out of how bad the film is. Beyonce has got her pathetic street team working in overdrive to make it appear this film is worth going to see, and you may be one of those employees. I also noticed the user reviews at Yahoo have been distorted. I see the same paragraphs under different screen names grading this movie an A, Nobody would do that but stans and people that work for this broad. I also noticed in the reviews someone mentioned that they were given free tickets from the box office to see this, so it's no telling how many tickets were give away to see this, and of course those tickets were paid for by Beyonce. The same rigging method she does with her CDs. All other critic sites are given this film low scores. Right now the film's grade at Yahoo is a B, but if it was not rigged it most likely would have a grade of C or D. But that grade is just from user, the movie critics score will be low like other sites next week. She went overboard trying to make this a success and it worked, but it still doesn't change the fact she has NO talent as an actress. This film is a one weekend hit wonder. Watch and see.

ReplyDeleteI was surprised myself that the film did so well, because I thought for sure it would flop. While people went to go see the movie mainly because of Beyonce, Ali Larter and Idris Elba had just as much to do with the success of the film, since they are much better actors. So, there were three things that saved this film, the acting strengths of Ali and Idris, Beyonce's name(because her acting credibility didn't have shit to do with it) and the fans who went to see it mainly out of curiosity to see if her acting would suck. Kudos to you Beyonce! You finally made a film where you didn't use singing as a crutch to hide your bad acting!
